STAND BY ME ドラえもん

Stand By Me Doraemon is the newest Doraemon movie in 3D that is currently showing in Japan! I remember watching them in Filipino version when I was little and even pronounced it as Doraymon instead of Doraimon. The manga written / published by the team of Fujiko Fujio was definitely a hit all over Asia as it is in Japan.

Anyway the story of this post is I was waiting for my sister at Lucua (a mall in Osaka station) when I get to see these Doraemons in different poses. Just when I thought I've missed it in Roppongi. Ha, lucky da ne! I love Doraemon even if I still haven't seen this 3D one in the movies yet, I watch the old ones in Japanese via youtube. It makes me really happy! My favourite Doraemon "power" is どこでもドーア. Obviously, I'm a wanderer full of wanderlust. How about you?

もしもしにっぽんFESTIVAL 2014(外国人入場無料)

I'm going to attend Moshi Moshi Nippon Festival 2014 with Kawaii.Ph bloggers Mich and Satchiko this Sunday! And I'm so excited! Make that super excited because it's gonna be my first time to see Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (whom I started to love because of Kawaii In Manila) and other amazing J-Artists. To be honest I'm more into Japanese fashion than music since I'm more into hearing male artists singing (is that weird?) but I love Ed Sheeran, The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, among many others.

Going back to the event, they're expecting around 22,000 people on that day! Wow! Passing on this information since some of you guys might be interested to attend or follow Japan Pop Culture events like this! I just can't wait! Three days to go! Hope to see you there!

HAPPY AUTUMNAL EQUINOX

Even though I feel like I've failed in capturing the magnificent beauty of autumn every single year, I still want to share these photos that I think are the best out of the rest. Autumn is such an awesome season to bask in nature and be happy through simple joys. I'm planning to go to Hakone, Shizuoka, Gunma for Fall. Of course, I would still take photos around Kanagawa and Tokyo. Hoping I could go back to Kyoto for a bit. Where's your best Autumn spot?

TOKYU PLAZA OMOTESANDO / HARAJUKU

There are soft couches by the elevator. You can even sleep there if you want to. Say hi to kawaii.ph bloggers Mich and Satchiko

Everyone knows that Tokyo is one of the most renowned shopping cities in the world. And I want to share it with you who's been curious "what does a mall in Tokyo looks like?  I'm always in Omotesando / Harajuku area also called as OMOHARA. The Japanese has a way of abbreviating things! A little trivia: they call Starbucks as SUTABA here.

Going back to Tokyu Plaza which I sometimes label as Lady Gaga mall because of it's disco-esque exterior. I usually go here for a meet-up in Starbucks but I really want to try dining at bills on the top floor. My favourite store here is The SHEL'TTER TOKYO (which sells my favourite brands SLY and moussy)

If you have any suggestions on what you want to see more in Japan, just let me know! I'm more than happy to tour you around. Japan represent!

KAWAII JEEPNEY

So thankful Chai pulled me over for our mini "shoot" in front of Kawaii In Manila 2's jeepney! You don't see a lot of kawaii jeep (short term for jeepney, the way we called it in Manila) but thanks to Kawaii.PH team, they got it for you! I love this fusion of Philippines and Japan! Too awesome for words!

HM top, EMODA skirt, TOKYO BOPPER shoes

A commuter's lifestyle in Manila could be pretty hard. With pollution, aggressive PUV drivers and packed train cars but how could anyone say no to a kawaii jeepney? For those who haven't been to the Philippines, jeepney (the vehicle on the background) is one of the main public transportation in the country. I love that it's cheap and convenient as it takes you to places that you could have walked instead. Living in Japan for 1/5 of my life, it trained me to walk for at least 30 minutes a day. I'm usually forced to walk more than that though. Whenever my friends from the Philippines visit, they got so tired easily from all the walking! But no jeepneys will save you here. Trains would probably the BEST transportation invention. It is also my favourite! Even though Philippines might be far from having the kind of convenience we get from trains and bullet trains, maybe we could push kawaii jeepneys idea instead? If there's a little less air pollution, I would take it in a heartbeat! I saw some cute taxis along the metro in the world wide web. Someone make kawaii jeepneys happen please!
